Cancellous bone has higher osteogenic and osteoinductive properties than cortical bone. The structure of cancellous bone allows rapid revascularization of the graft. As a bone void filler, cancellous chips are also capable of providing an osteoconductive matrix.
Cancellous chips available in various particle size ranges (0.5 – 1mm, 1 – 4mm, and 4 – 10mm) and fill sizes (0.5, 1, 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60cc).
Cortical/cancellous chips available in particle size 0.5 – 1mm and fill sizes 0.5, 1, and 2cc with a 1:1 mix of cancellous and cortical chips by volume.
